Just a quick hello to say I am very excited about being chosen to compete at the Olympic Games in Beijing in August 2008!! I had a great National Championships, winning Gold in the 50m Backstroke, Silver in the 100m Backstroke and Bronze in the 50m Freestyle. I broke the WORLD RECORD int he 50m backstroke in a time of 27.67 and did Pb's in the 100m backstroke, 59.84, and 50 freestyle, 24.98.

 

I am happy with my results over the last week and looking forward to training towards Beijing. Hope you are all well and enjoyed watching the swimming on Ch 9.

With less than 2 weeks till Olympic trials, everyone is starting to get very excited!! Only time will tell what the year will bring. I have had a fantastic time over the last 12 months, I have been very lucky and blessed over the year, travelling and competing all over the World, Trips included South Africa, Europe, Singapore and America. I spent more time away from home than at home! 

My trips were all successful, I managed to finish Second overall in the Mare Nostrum Trophy, (European Tour.) I picked up several medals through out the World Cup Circuit (Durban, Singapore and Sydney.) My times continued to improve doing Pbs in short course events and I equaled my 50m Back Commonwealth Record in July 07 and Broke it again in Feb 08. In the last month I have improved my 50 and 100m backstroke times and I am really looking forward to racing in Sydney at the end of March.

Thank you to all of you who have supported me and sent me messages, they are all much appreciated. I hope to bring some fast swimming to you over the next month.

Hi Everyone,                                                                                                            March 07

 

I have just returned home from 3 weeks away. We first went to Sydney and them to Canberra to race and then we went to Thredbo for a training camp. It was a great trip, We had lots of fun and also got to catch up with alot of the other swimmers. I am now preparing to compete in the 'Duel in the Pool' which is being held in Sydney on the 3rd of April. It should be a great competiton with some really exciting racing.

 

I am then Heading to South Africa to compete in a Gala day in Johannesburg and then to Durbin to Race in their National Championships. I am really looking forward to it and to get some good racing aswell.

Hi All,

 

 

Well a new year has started and I had a great break over the Christmas period, I hope you all enjoyed the festive season!. I am now back in training and looking forward to the year ahead. Even though I am not competing in the World Championships it is still going to be a very busy year ahead. Next on the calander is the NSW State Championships in February and then a training camp following in Sydney and Canberra. I hope you are all smiling and enjoying your swimming :)

It is time again for our National Championships, how time flys! They are in Brisbane from the 3rd to the 10th of December. It is also the World Championship trials and I am really looking forward to competing. Its nice as they are close to home and my family is able to come and watch me swim.
